Uprading your managed window or linux dedicated server is easy and cost effective.

This speed test utilizes a 5.1 Megabyte file located on a server in our Midwest Data Center. By hitting the "Start" button this file will download and display the results. FastServers.Net utilizes BandwidthPlace to perform this test. If you have any questions about this please email sales@fastservers.net or call 1-866-753-3278, Option 1.

Your browser requests the speed test page from a web server located in the Chicago Data Center.
The web page instructs your browser to record the "start time"
Right after an image file is downloaded from the speed test server
As soon as the download is done the "end time" is recorded
The transfer speed is calculated and sent to the results page

The download file for this test is located the same place FastServers.Net racks dedicated servers. This file is being hosted on a Dell PowerEdge 1950 server.
