Microsoft has announced an updated pricing model for our Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA). The SPLA provides us the means to legally offer managed dedicated server providers a monthly rental fee for a majority of the products Microsoft has to offer.
Entering into 2007 Microsoft has release new pricing on Microsoft SQL Server that will soon be reflected and passed on to customers. FastServers.Net offers Microsoft software just above cost and for this reason pricing changes from Microsoft will be modified. During January our Sales Engineers will be reaching out to customers currently utilizing SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition and SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition to explain the increase in price. Prior to 2007 FastServers.Net offered these two products for $180 per month. The new price will be $225.00 per month.
One thing to keep in mind is that Microsoft has release a new version of SQL Server including SQL Server 2005 workgroup edition. This is priced at $75 per month and offers *most* of the features as SQL Server 2000/2005 with limitations being hardware based (RAM and Number of Processors).
Pricing for SQL has been updated on our ordering system and by the end of the day the website will also reflect the new pricing structure.
If you have any questions regarding this price increase our team of Sales Engineers are available to discuss your options, don't hesitate to give them a call at 1-866-753-3278 or by email at sales@fastservers.net
